Following directives from the General Command, Minister of Electricity Awad Al-Badri oversaw the dispatch of a new 220/66 kV power transformer from Benghazi to Semnu. The move aims to support ongoing development projects in southern Libya, most notably the construction of 1,500 housing units in Murzuq.
